Ingredients

  • 2 filet mignon steaks approximately 6 ounces or 170 grams each
  • 2 slices bacon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil 15 ml
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter 28 grams
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves 1 gram
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary chopped, 1 gram

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C).
  • Season the filet mignon steaks generously with salt and pepper.
  • Wrap each steak with a slice of bacon and secure it with a toothpick.
  • Heat olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
  • Sear the steaks for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until a brown crust forms.
  • Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and cook for 6-8 minutes for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached.
  • While the steaks are in the oven, prepare the garlic herb butter by mixing the unsalted butter with minced garlic, thyme, and rosemary in a small bowl.
  • Once the steaks are cooked to your liking, remove them from the oven and top each with a dollop of garlic herb butter.
  • Let the steaks rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
  • Serve hot and enjoy your luxurious Keto Filet Mignon.
