Ingredients

For the Bagel Dough

  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 oz cream cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1.5 cups almond flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder optional
  • 0.5 tsp salt

For the Cream Cheese Filling

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped or 1 tsp dried chives
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella and cream cheese. Microwave for about 30-60 seconds until melted and easy to stir. Mix until fully combined and smooth.
  • Allow the cheese mixture to cool slightly, then add the egg. Stir until well combined. In a separate bowl, whisk together the almond flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the cheese mixture until a dough forms.
  • Divide the dough into 4 equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball and then create a hole in the center to form a bagel shape. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  • In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with chopped chives, parsley (if using), salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Using a piping bag or a spoon, carefully fill each bagel with the cream cheese mixture, ensuring it’s evenly distributed.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and the bagels are cooked through.
  • Once baked, remove the bagels from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes on a wire rack. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.

Notes
