Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Mixing bowl
  • Fork
  • Ice water bowl
  • Serving platter
  • Spoon or piping bag

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs (340 g)
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise (45 g)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (5 g)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (1 g)
  • ¼ cup shredded mozzarella cheese (30 g)
  • 2 tablespoons diced pepperoni (30 g)
  • 1 tablespoon diced green bell pepper (15 g)
  • 1 tablespoon diced black olives (15 g)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover them with cold water. Bring the water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, cover the pan, remove it from heat, and let the eggs sit for 10-12 minutes.
  • After the time is up, carefully transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water to cool for at least 5 minutes. This helps to stop the cooking process and makes peeling easier.
  • Once cooled, gently tap each egg on a hard surface to crack the shell, then peel under running water. Set the peeled eggs aside.
  • Slice each egg in half lengthwise and carefully scoop out the yolks into a mixing bowl. Place the egg whites on a serving platter.
  • Mash the yolks with a fork until smooth. Add the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Italian seasoning, mozzarella cheese, diced pepperoni, green bell pepper, and black olives. Mix until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves, filling each generously.
  • If desired, top each deviled egg with a small piece of fresh basil for an extra touch of flavor and presentation.
  • Refrigerate the deviled eggs for at least 15 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld. Enjoy your Pizza-Flavored Deviled Eggs cold!

Notes

Feel free to customize the toppings based on your favorite pizza ingredients, such as adding diced mushrooms or using different cheeses. These deviled eggs can be made a day in advance; just keep them covered in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
