Equipment

  • Blender
  • Citrus juicer or hand juicer
  • Fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Chopping knife
  • Peeler

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup Lemon juice
  • 2 inches Fresh ginger root peeled
  • 1 teaspoon Ground turmeric
  • Black pepper a pinch (to enhance turmeric absorption)
  • ½ cup Warm water
  • Liquid stevia optional, to taste

Instructions

  • Start by juicing the lemon until you have 1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice. Pour the juice into a blender.
  • Peel the ginger root and roughly chop it before adding it to the blender with the lemon juice.
  • Add the ground turmeric and a pinch of black pepper to the mixture. The black pepper is crucial as it contains piperine, which significantly enhances the absorption of curcumin from turmeric.
  • Pour in the warm water to help blend the ingredients smoothly and optionally add liquid stevia if you prefer a slightly sweetened shot.
  • Blend the ingredients on high until the mixture is completely smooth and the ginger is fully broken down, which should take about 1-2 minutes.
  • Strain the mixture using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a container to remove any solid particles and ensure a smooth shot.
  • Pour the wellness shot into serving glasses and consume immediately for the best flavor and health benefits.

Notes

If fresh ginger is not available, you can substitute with 1/2 teaspoon of ginger powder.
For an extra health boost, add a small clove of garlic to the blend.
Consume immediately after preparation for maximum health benefits.
Always consult with a healthcare provider before starting any new dietary supplement, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, or have underlying health conditions.
