Equipment

  • Espresso machine or coffee maker
  • Small saucepan
  • Milk frother or whisk
  • Measuring spoons
  • Serving glass

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce Espresso shot 30 ml
  • 1 cup Unsweetened almond milk 240 ml
  • 2 tablespoons Heavy cream 30 ml
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar-free caramel syrup 15 ml
  • 1 teaspoon Granulated erythritol 4g
  • ½ teaspoon Vanilla extract 2.5 ml
  • Pinch of salt
  • Ice cubes optional for iced version

Instructions

  • Begin by brewing a strong espresso shot using your preferred method or espresso machine. If you do not have an espresso machine, a strong coffee concentrate will also work.
  • In a small saucepan, combine the unsweetened almond milk, heavy cream, and granulated erythritol. Heat over medium heat, stirring frequently until erythritol is dissolved and the mixture is hot but not boiling.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
  • Froth the milk mixture using a milk frother until it is light and foamy. If you do not have a frother, you can use a whisk or an immersion blender to create the froth.
  • Drizzle the bottom of a serving glass with half of the sugar-free caramel syrup.
  • Pour the frothed milk mixture into the glass, leaving room for the espresso.
  • Gently pour the espresso shot over the milk, creating a marbled effect.
  • Top off with the remaining sugar-free caramel syrup, creating a swirl on the surface.
  • For an iced version, simply add ice cubes to the glass before adding the milk mixture and espresso.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, replace heavy cream with coconut cream. Adjust the sweetness to your liking by adding more or less sugar-free caramel syrup. The nutritional information is provided for guidance and may vary depending on the specific brands and substitutes used.
