Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Whisk
  • Measuring spoons
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper or silicone mat

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings approximately 900g
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil 30ml
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar 15ml
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced about 1 teaspoon/5g
  • 1 teaspoon paprika 2g
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin 1g
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder 1g
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder 1g
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper 0.5g
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat for easy cleanup.
  • In a large bowl, combine olive oil, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, paprika, cumin, chili powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Whisk together to form the marinade.
  • Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss until they are fully coated in the marinade. Let them sit for at least 30 minutes to absorb the flavors; for best results, marinate in the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight.
  • Arrange the marinated wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are not touching for even cooking.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until the wings are golden brown and crispy. Halfway through, flip the wings to ensure they are evenly cooked.
  • Once done, remove the wings from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a less spicy version, reduce the amount of cayenne pepper or omit it altogether.
These wings can be served with a side of keto-friendly ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.
Leftover wings can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Ensure the wings are at room temperature before marinating to allow the flavors to penetrate more effectively.
