Ingredients

  • 2 spicy turkey burgers
  • 4 leaves of lettuce
  • 3 tbsp caramelised onions
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp fresh chillies sliced
  • 2 tbsp tahini sauce
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • a pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Cook the burgers - ensure the meat is fully cooked through.
  • Prepare the other ingredients for the burgers: lettuce, caramelised onions, parsley and chillies.
  • Make the sauce mixing together all the ingredients: tahini, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Add enough cold water to get the right consistency.
  • Assemble the burgers according to your preferences. The burgers should be just slightly warm. Cook the patties, then wait a few minutes before assembling the burgers, until the meat will be at the right temperature. Same for the caramelised onions.

Notes

  • To make the caramelised onions, you can follow this recipe. Use balsamic vinegar for a tasty option. Don't add sugar if you want to keep the recipe keto.
  • For the burgers, you can make your own or use some store-bought burgers. See the introduction of this recipe for more details.
  • The nutritional information written below has been calculated using 2 turkey burgers made with 150 g of turkey breast mince overall and spices.
