Equipment

  • Medium bowl
  • Grater
  • Skillet
  • Spatula
  • Measuring spoons
  • Garlic press (optional)
  • Serving platter

Ingredients

For the Lamb

  • 1 pound ground lamb
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Tzatziki Sauce

  • 1 cup full-fat Greek yogurt
  • 1 medium cucumber, finely grated and excess moisture squeezed out about 150 grams
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For Serving

  • 8 large lettuce leaves such as romaine or butter lettuce
  • ¼ cup crumbled feta cheese
  • ¼ cup diced tomatoes
  • Fresh dill for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the Tzatziki Sauce: In a medium bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, and chopped dill. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated. Refrigerate the sauce while you prepare the lamb to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Cook the Lamb: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil and ground lamb, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until the lamb is browned and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Season the Lamb: Reduce the heat to medium. Add the cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the lamb. Stir thoroughly to ensure the lamb is evenly coated with the spices. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat.
  • Assemble the Tacos: Lay out the lettuce leaves on a serving platter. Spoon an equal amount of the spiced lamb mixture into each lettuce shell.
  • Add Toppings: Drizzle the Tzatziki Sauce over the lamb in each taco. Sprinkle with crumbled feta cheese and diced tomatoes. Garnish with additional fresh dill, if desired.
  • Serve Immediately: Enjoy your Keto Lamb Tacos with Tzatziki Sauce right away for the best taste and texture.

Notes

For an even lower carb count, you can omit the diced tomatoes.
These tacos can be customized with additional keto-friendly toppings such as avocado, shredded cheese, or sliced olives.
The Tzatziki Sauce can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
