Instructions
Begin by thoroughly washing the kale, spinach, green apple, and cucumber to remove any dirt or pesticides.
If you have a high-powered juicer, you can skip this step. Otherwise, roughly chop the kale, spinach, green apple, and cucumber into smaller pieces that will fit easily into your juicer.
Start the juicing process by adding the kale and spinach leaves first, as these are the softest ingredients and will be processed more efficiently when followed by harder ingredients.
Add the green apple slices, cucumber pieces, peeled lemon, and ginger into the juicer. Alternate between the juicing greens and the firmer apple and cucumber to help push all the leafy greens through.
Once all the ingredients have been juiced, stir in the MCT or coconut oil. This will help with the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins and give your juice a satisfying boost of healthy fats.
If you prefer a colder juice, blend the juice with a cup of ice cubes until smooth. Alternatively, you can simply add cold water to reach your desired consistency.
Taste the juice and, if needed, add a small amount of Stevia or monk fruit sweetener to sweeten it to your liking without adding extra carbs.
