Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Small bowl
  • Whisk
  • Pastry brush
  • Skillet

Ingredients

  • 4 fillets salmon 6 ounces each or 170 grams
  • 2 tbsp olive oil 30 ml
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup keto-friendly honey substitute 60 ml
  • 2 tbsp Sriracha sauce 30 ml
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar 15 ml
  • 1 tsp garlic powder 3.1 grams
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds 9 grams (for garnish)
  • 1 green onion thinly sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Brush each fillet with olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the keto-friendly honey substitute, Sriracha sauce, apple cider vinegar, and garlic powder until well combined.
  • Generously brush the honey Sriracha mixture over each salmon fillet, ensuring they are well coated.
  • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  • While the salmon is baking, lightly toast the sesame seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat until golden brown, being careful not to burn them.
  • Once the salmon is cooked, remove from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
  • Garnish the glazed salmon with toasted sesame seeds and thinly sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

For a spicier kick, increase the amount of Sriracha sauce to taste.
Ensure your keto-friendly honey substitute is a sugar-free option suitable for a ketogenic diet.
The salmon is best served fresh, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
Check the doneness of your salmon by using a fork to gently press down on the top. If it flakes easily, it's ready to enjoy!
