Ingredients

  • 1 cup ground flaxseed (155g / 5.5oz)
  • 1 cup boiling water (240ml / 8oz)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder (1.5g)
  • ½ tsp onion powder (1.5g)
  • ¼ tsp salt (1.5g)

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, combine the ground flaxseed, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.
  • Pour the boiling water into the bowl with the dry ingredients and stir immediately with a spatula until a dough-like consistency is achieved.
  • Divide the dough into four equal portions and roll each into a ball.
  • Place one dough ball between two pieces of parchment paper and roll it out into a thin circle, about 1/8 inch thick.
  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Carefully peel the top layer of parchment off the rolled-out dough and invert it onto the skillet, peeling away the second piece of parchment.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side, or until the edges start to lift away from the skillet. Flip the wrap and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes on the other side.
  • Transfer the cooked wrap to a plate and cover with a kitchen towel to keep it pliable. Repeat with the remaining dough balls.

Notes

These wraps can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to a week. To reheat, simply place them in a dry skillet over low heat until warm and pliable. For a crispy edge, increase the heat and cook for an additional minute on each side.
