Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Large Bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings, patted dry
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup buffalo wing sauce
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Optional: blue cheese or ranch dressing for dipping

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the baking powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
  • Place the wings in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching for proper air circulation.
  • Cook the wings for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  • While the wings are cooking, prepare the buffalo sauce by mixing the buffalo wing sauce, melted butter, and apple cider vinegar in a bowl.
  • Once the wings are done, transfer them to a bowl and pour the buffalo sauce over them. Toss until the wings are well coated in the sauce.
  • Serve the wings immediately with optional blue cheese or ranch dressing for dipping.

Notes

Make sure the wings are completely dry before seasoning to ensure they get crispy.
The baking powder helps to create a crispy exterior.
For a milder sauce, mix some of the buffalo sauce with melted butter to taste.
Always check the internal temperature of your chicken wings with a meat thermometer to ensure they have reached 165°F (74°C).
