Equipment

  • Medium bowl
  • Large Bowl
  • Grater
  • Grill pan or skillet

Ingredients

For the Burgers:

  • 1 pound ground lamb (or beef) 453g
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup feta cheese, crumbled 75g
  • 1 tablespoon fresh oregano, chopped or 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt 5g
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper 2g
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil 15ml

For the Tzatziki Sauce:

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt, full-fat 285g
  • 1 medium cucumber, finely grated and excess moisture squeezed out about 150g after draining
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon dill, fresh and chopped or 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice 15ml
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare the Tzatziki Sauce: In a medium bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, chopped dill, lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well until all the ingredients are fully incorporated. Cover and refrigerate to let the flavors meld while you prepare the burgers.
  • Make the Burger Patties: In a large bowl, mix together the ground lamb, minced garlic, crumbled feta cheese, oregano, salt, and pepper until well combined. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a burger patty.
  • Cook the Burgers: Heat olive oil in a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the burger patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  • Assemble the Burgers: Serve the hot burger patties with a generous dollop of the chilled Tzatziki sauce on top or on the side for dipping.

Notes

For a complete meal, serve these Greek Keto Burgers with a side of mixed greens or keto-friendly vegetables.
If you're avoiding dairy, you can make the Tzatziki sauce with a dairy-free yogurt alternative.
