Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Cutting board
  • Chef’s knife
  • Measuring spoons

Ingredients

  • 1 medium head Cabbage about 2 pounds or 900g, shredded
  • 1 pound Corned Beef cooked and chopped
  • 1 medium Onion about 6 ounces or 170g, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare Ingredients: Begin by shredding the cabbage, chopping the cooked corned beef, slicing the onion, and mincing the garlic.
  • Cook Onion and Spices: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and mustard seeds, cooking until the onion is translucent and the seeds start to pop, about 5 minutes.
  • Add Garlic: Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  • Cook Cabbage: Increase the heat to medium-high and add the shredded cabbage to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender and begins to brown, about 10 minutes.
  • Add Corned Beef: Mix in the chopped corned beef, apple cider vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Cook together with the cabbage for another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the corned beef is heated through and slightly crispy on the edges.
  • Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve hot.
