Equipment

  • Crock Pot
  • Small bowl
  • Paper towels
  • Measuring spoons
  • Carving knife

Ingredients

  • 1 bone-in turkey breast about 6-7 pounds / 2721-3175 grams
  • 2 tbsp olive oil 30 ml
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika 6.8 grams
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder 8.5 grams
  • 1 tsp dried thyme 1 gram
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary 1 gram
  • 1 tsp sea salt 5 grams
  • ½ tsp black pepper 1 gram
  • ½ cup chicken broth 120 ml
  • 1 lemon sliced
  • 1 onion quartered

Instructions

  • Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels to ensure the herbs and spices stick to the skin.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, dried thyme, dried rosemary, sea salt, and black pepper to create a seasoning paste.
  • Rub the seasoning paste all over the turkey breast, making sure to coat it evenly.
  • Place the lemon slices and quartered onion inside the crock pot to create a flavorful bed for the turkey breast to rest on.
  • Gently place the seasoned turkey breast on top of the lemon and onion.
  • Pour the chicken broth into the bottom of the crock pot, being careful not to wash off the seasonings from the turkey.
  • Cover and cook on low for 7 hours, or until the internal temperature of the turkey reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Once the turkey is fully cooked, remove it from the crock pot and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring the meat stays moist.
  • Carve the turkey breast and serve warm.

Notes

Cooking times may vary based on the size and model of your Crock Pot.
For a crispier skin, broil the turkey breast for a few minutes after cooking.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for later use.
Ensure the turkey breast is fully thawed if previously frozen to achieve even cooking.
