4boneless pork chops1 inch thick, about 8 oz each / 225 g each
1tspsea salt5 g
1tspblack pepper2 g
1tsppaprika2 g
2tbspolive oil30 ml
4tbspunsalted butter60 g
6cloves garlic, minced18 g
½cupchicken broth120 ml
1tbspfresh thyme leaves1 g
1tbspfresh parsley, chopped for garnish1 g
Instructions
Start by patting the pork chops dry with paper towels to ensure proper searing. Season both sides of each chop with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the pork chops and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, stir in the minced garlic, cooking until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Pour in the chicken broth to deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom. Stir in the fresh thyme leaves and bring the sauce to a simmer.
Allow the sauce to reduce slightly, about 3-4 minutes, then return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter sauce over them.
Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, basting the chops with the sauce until they are well-coated and heated through.
Transfer the pork chops to a serving plate, spoon more garlic butter sauce over the top, and garnish with chopped parsley.
