  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ cup sugar-free pizza sauce (for topping, 60 ml)
  • ½ cup additional shredded mozzarella cheese (for topping, 50 g)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  • Prepare the Chicken Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  • Shape the Bagel Bites: Using your hands, divide the chicken mixture into 8 equal portions. Shape each portion into a small disc, about 3 inches in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Use your fingers to create a small indentation in the center of each disc, mimicking the shape of a bagel.
  • Bake the Base: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the edges are golden brown.
  • Add Toppings: Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Spoon a small amount of sugar-free pizza sauce into the indentation of each chicken crust bagel bite. Sprinkle the remaining shredded mozzarella cheese on top, and add any additional toppings you desire, such as sliced pepperoni.
