Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (8 oz / 226 g)
  • Optional seasonings: paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, or Italian seasoning

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Measure out the cheese into small, thin piles on the parchment paper, leaving space between each for spreading.
  • If using, lightly sprinkle your choice of seasonings over the cheese piles.
  • Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 7 minutes, or until the edges of the cheese crisps are golden brown.
  • Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the cheese crisps cool for a few minutes to firm up.
  • Once cooled, gently remove them using a spatula and transfer to a plate or an airtight container.

Notes

For a different flavor, try using other hard cheeses like parmesan, asiago, or a blend of your favorites.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
Ensure the cheese piles are spread out enough as they will spread while baking.
Watch closely towards the end of the baking time to prevent over-browning.
