  • Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions. A non-stick waffle iron works best for this recipe.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the almond flour, baking powder, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Whisk them together until well mixed.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and add them to the dry mixture. Then, add the shredded mozzarella cheese and mix until fully combined. If the mixture is too thick, gradually add water until you achieve a thick batter consistency.
  • Lightly grease the preheated waffle iron with cooking spray or a small amount of olive oil. Pour about ½ cup of the batter onto the center of the waffle iron, spreading it slightly to ensure even cooking. Close the waffle iron and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the waffles are golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove the cooked waffle and keep it warm in a low oven (around 200°F or 95°C) while you cook the remaining batter. Continue until all the batter is used.
  • Serve the pizza waffles warm, topped with your choice of additional toppings, or alongside marinara sauce for dipping. Enjoy!
